ProgDay 2000

On a beautiful Autumn (or should we say Fall?) day in October 2000, Landmarq made their debut appearance in the USA. ProgDay 2000 was held at Storybook Farm near Chapel Hill, North Carolina, over the weekend of Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th October with Landmarq finishing the first day.

Four bands were featured on each of the days with another two acts appearing at the 'Cats Cradle' venue in the nearby town of Carrboro. A full line up for the festival with a brief gig summary can be seen in the 'gig report' in the 'Borderlines' news page. Big thanks must go to Peter Renfro for starting ProgDay in the first place and inviting us to play. Thank you to all those who came along, said hi, enjoyed the show and made us feel so welcome.

Unfortunately, due to other commitments, Steve Leigh was unable to remain with the rest of the band after the gig and had to return home.

He therefore gets the "Landmarq Medal of Honour" for services rendered having flown in from the UK the day before and out again the day after the gig.
Finally, very special thanks must also go to Donna Zee and Bob and Jackie Gennovario for their great hospitality.
