New Landmarq WAP-site...

If you have a WAP-type mobile phone, PDA (personal digital assistant) or similar device with access to the internet, you can now see a cut-down, 'lite' version of 'The Spiral Staircase' - on the move. Anytime, anywhere!.
The site has basic information about Landmarq plus a 'Whats New' page which will be updated periodically.

Go to:
http://music.wapjag.com/landmarq2
(or dial this address into your phone or other mobile device when accessing the internet).

The site can also be viewed on a normal PC monitor. For correct rendering, get a free WAP phone-type browser for your PC at:
Wireless Companion

What is WAP?
Wap or Wireless Protocol Application is a technical standard designed to allow specially prepared internet content to be displayed on the screens of suitable mobile devices such as mobile phones, personal organisers and pagers.
The information is predominantly text-based to ensure rapid loading to the phone.

EGroups now Yahoo!Groups...

Last time in Borderlines we reported that we were trying out an online emailing service (eGroups.com) and previous subscribers to the LENL (Landmarq E-News List) were automatically transferred to the new service. Egroups has now merged with Yahoo!Groups but don't worry - nothing is required of subscribers who simply want to continue to receive the free e-newsletter to their email inbox.

If you do want to take advantage of the facilities at the Landmarq/Yahoo! site, the only thing you need do is login with a new Yahoo! ID which can be done at the site. If you already happen to have a Yahoo! ID, then you can sign in with that.
(Unsubscribing is simple and can be done at any time).
Yahoo! say they will be adding even more stuff to their groups along with the already- existing members chat room, message posting, polls, etc.
The current members poll is:
"Which is your favourite Landmarq album?".
Results can be viewed at the Landmarq/Yahoo! site.

If you are not already receiving the LENL and would like to subscribe, join
LENL at Yahoo! Groups

If you have any thoughts or suggestions regarding this service, or experience any problems, please
let us know.

GFT/Cyclops takes on Landmarq...

Negotiations have recently been completed and a licensing deal agreed between Landmarq and UK distributors Cyclops, part of GFT Limited.
GFT/Cyclops have been established for a number of years now as a distributor specialising in Progressive-rock and it's related forms and have an extensive roster of bands in their continually expanding catalogue.

As well as continuing to issue the three currently available CD's, the company have said they will also be re-issuing Landmarq's first two CD's ('Solitary Witness' and 'Infinity Parade') in the next few months. This should be followed by the second part of the live album and then, eventually, a new studio album.

DAVE WAGSTAFE SESSIONS FOR NEW OLIVER WAKEMAN ALBUM
Landmarq's own drum-meister is included in the line-up for the new Oliver Wakeman album doing what he does best - that is, playing drums!
Now completed, Dave says the album sounds excellent and as far as we can gather should be released in the very near future.
Another 'prog-type-muso' making a guest appearance on the CD is a guitarist who goes by the name of Steve Howe (...yes, the very same)
Title of the album is 'Three Ages Of Magic'.

TRACY'S COMPETITION NOW CLOSED
Tracy's competition to find a name for her pet dragon(?) was closed on 31st January 2001. The winner and resulting name will be announced soon. The prize is a rather special signed photograph of Tracy...
