| Live Album To Be Released
At last, Landmarq are set to release a
live CD album for later this year. The band hope to go in
to the studio for re-mixing around mid-July with a
possible release around early Autumn. No title has been
set for the album but the material will be taken from the
various gigs the band have played over the past year both
in the UK and Holland.
"We wanted to finally release a
representation of the 'new' Landmarq", said bassist
Steve Gee, "but unfortunately, this was never
possible in the past for all sorts of reasons. Now with
our own label in control, the time seems right".
The band have sifted through hours of live
recordings of varying quality, sound-wise, but have
managed to come up with more than enough material for one
album. In fact, it looks as though some numbers will be
held back for a second release of some kind or perhaps as
bonus tracks on future studio albums. We shall have to
wait and see!
Tracks will include a mix of older
songs as well as some of the more recent
"Science..." material. There will certainly be
one or two surprises for the fans, especially those who
have not been able to see the band performing live.
Hopefully, this will go some way to giving those people a
better idea of Landmarq in concert.
Engineering and mixing is in the
capable hands of Karl Groom down at Thin Ice Studios,
with more than a helping hand from a certain Mr. Nolan!
It is hoped that copies will be available
for sale direct at dates the band will be playing when
they embark on a short European tour in October. (See
details elsewhere in this newsletter).
Of course, the album will also be
available direct from Synergy Records or the usual
stockists.

The London
flagship-store of this well-known music retailer now has
the last two Landmarq CDs back in stock (ie -'The Vision
Pit' & 'Science Of Coincidence').
It is also hoped to
place in stock the first two CDs ('Solitary Witness'
& 'Infinity Parade') when these are eventually
re-issued, along with the forthcoming 'live' album.
Just thought you'd
like to know.
